The Shape of the Berlin Experience

A festival is a promise with a date attached. For a long time, ours didn't have one — now it does.

The online screening runs September 21–28, open to an international audience whose tickets double as votes. The films selected for it come to Berlin on October 17, for one night under real projector light, followed by the awards — the 4U Trophy among them, going to the one film that is Uncensored, Uncompromising, Unconventional and Unbound all at once.

Fifteen categories now stand behind that night, from Best Cinematography to the Critics' Award to a prize named for the person who refused to let this festival stay dead. None of it is theoretical anymore. Mark the dates.
